There will be a pamphlet on the tables and mini flags to make the fundraising campaign more visible. It contains the following information:

WE ASK FOR A DONATION OF $20+ TO FUND THE DRIVE TO GET THE CMVU FLAG PINS ON AS MANY VET LAPELS AS WE CAN!
1.Via your credit card and the CanadaHelps - RCAF Association Trust web page. Tax receipts will be issued. This page can be accessed in three ways:
A.Type “RCAFA Trust” into your browser. Scroll down and click on the CanadaHelps-RCAFA Trust page. Click on “Campaigns(5)” at the top and scroll down to “Canadian Military Veterans Flag” and follow the prompts.
B.By copying and pasting the link below into your browser:
C. Via the QR code below. This will take you directly to the campaign page
2.Donations via ETransfer to canvetflag@gmail.com. There is no minimum. However, tax receipts will not be issued.
3.By check and mailed to; Treasurer CMVU Flag Project 154 Lilian Crescent Barrie ON L4N 5X5 4.Cash in the “TREASURER” envelope on your tables.
CMVU FLAG ORDERS
The creation and set up of an efficient flag ordering, payment and delivery system is currently a work in progress and we ask for your patience. We are keeping a record of those who have ordered flags and they are being entered into a numbered Flag Registry.
Flags will be manufactured in two sizes (3’X6’ & 18”X36”) Other sizes will be provided on a cost-plus basis. Donation amounts for a serialized, initialed and dated flag is anticipated at $100 for a 3’X6’ Flag and $50 for an 18” X 36” flag.

At the February 10, 2026 meeting. Kent Smerdon presents an update on the Canadian Military Veterans Unity Flag (CMVUF) Project. A committee has been formed to manage this project. The strategy is create a lapel pin in the likeness of the flag shown on the screen behind. Raise funds to mass produce this flag and pin. RCAFA National has been approached to host a trust fund where by donations will receive an automatic tax receipt. Anyone who does NOT want a tax receipt can donate directly by e-transfer to: CanVetFlag@gmail.com These funds are held in a separate bank account managed by three committee members: Kent Smerdon, Greg Merrill and Gary Miner.
